What is a normal set of plans? |
A normal set of plans generally consists of:
- Elevations - Front, Rear, Left and Right elevation
- Foundation - Slab, Footer, or Basement (a lot of plans don't offer all - even upon request)
- Floor plans - Typical floor plans for the design (generally without any options)
- Electrical - Coordinating electrical plans to match the floor plans
- Details - Pertinent section(s), interior elevations and foundation and cabinet details
- Framing plans - with some plans
- Full set in left or right hand (reversed plans for an additional charge) (if it's hand drawn, reversed plans will have the writing backwards also).
A typical set of plans that you purchase generally comes with everything you need to build that exact structure over and over exactly the same.

Differentiation - Our Design Package |
A minimum design set consists of:
- Elevations - 2 or more sets of Front, Rear, Left and Right elevation
- Foundation - Multiple Slab, Footer, or Basement (if we don't have the plan you need, we will create upon request)
- Floor plans - Multiple corresponding floor plans and/or alternates
- Electrical - (optional) if you don't need it, you don't pay for it
- Framing plan - We don't provide it because we don't begin to guess at what type of system you are going to use.
- Details - Pertinent section(s) interior elevations and foundation details. Since most cabinets are custom, we don't waste time on them. If you need it, we can provide it for an additional charge.
- Full design set includes both left and right hand plans.
- 11x17 set of plans for convenient jobsite/office reference

All of our plans are available in Autocad or DXF for an additional fee (other formats upon request). A PDF conveniently sent to your email is our preferred and most secure method of purchase. We also allow you 90 days to download your plans because we know its easy to lose files and drawings. Hardcopies (blueprints) of your plans are available for an additional fee for printing and postage (but loss or damage of those would require additional fees to replace them).

Reproducible sets are available for purchase to customers who choose to have a local professional modify thos plans. Consequently, BuildersBestHomePlans.com hopes that we would be contacted for potential plan changes. It could save you money on "tweeks" and revisions, while keeping you within our copyrights.

BuildersBestHomePlans.com also knows that it is unrealistic to require a builder to purchase a design set every time the structure is constructed; therefore, we allow the purchaser to build multiple projects from a purchased design set.
